Not quite a week later, and I've finished the quilt. I added a pieced binding, which I think was the perfect frame for the quilt.
I love the line that is created where the line on the right joins the binding- and I didn't even notice it until I looked a the picture!
Yes, beverly, I think the pieced binding is just perfect
ReplyDeleteI am always so amazed at how much better a piece looks after it has a binding or finished edge. Your binding is just right and sets off the overall design.
ReplyDeleteHow perfect is that! You did awesome
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the perfect finish!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt. You did a great job. The binding worked out perfectly too.
ReplyDeleteOh I DO love this quilt. And if you'd tried to make that line/binding connection purposely, it no doubt would have given you fits! I think we shy away from pure white backgrounds too much. It is what makes this so striking - that and the minimalist nature and starkness of the lines. Bravo!
ReplyDeletethe perfect finishing touch - that line and the binding was just meant to be!
ReplyDeleteWow Beverly. Looks like fate stepped in and gave you the perfect resulting finish. It really sets off the piece.
ReplyDeleteThe multi-colored binding really does a strong job of attractively showing off the rest of the quilt. That line that is linked to the binding really creates some structure to this quilt visually. The effect is far more powerful, to me, because of the white background. I quite enjoyed the minimalist effect as well.
