So I bowed to peer pressure and quilted the leaves. They are still very subtle and not easy to see. Do to the heavy use of fusible web, the quilting did not make them "pop" as they normally would.

Looks lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteI think because the values are so close, but it makes the viewer take a closer look. good on you!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting does make the leaves stand out a bit more. Last time I could only see four leaves. This time I did see the fifth leaf. Means I spent more time looking at the quilt, which is what you want, IMHO.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful Judy!
ReplyDeleteI like that you've added quilting to the leaves and I like the subtlety of the leaves. If you want them to pop more could you echo quilt either inside or outside the leaves with a different colored thread, perhaps a variegated? But it is beautiful the way it is!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks fabulous - while the leaves don't stand out a lot, they are now more distinct simply because the quilting design contrasts with the rest of the quilting. Great job Judy!
ReplyDeleteI like the addition of the quilting, it does make the leaves stand out more. Nicely done!
