Celebrate!

I had a few false starts but after listening to Lisa'a post of Kool and the Gang, I had that song going through my head as I was sorting through my photos. Suddenly the starfish that always been doing yoga were suddenly dancing in celebration. So my final piece celebrates nature with the starfish dancing. It is actually missing the final free motion quilting because as I started into the stitching my free motion foot broke! So I kept going, added some trim and am ready now on August 18th!

  4. Oh Beverly! What an artful composition and salute to nature. I like your arrangement of the pieces, especially the way you placed the corner leaves. It's a beautiful piece!

  5. After all those trials and tribulations, you have managed to produce something wonderful. Starfish are one of those childhood memory sort of creatures. yours are beautiful and the sandy fabrics are a great touch, as are the little embellishments, which set them off.

  6. OMG Gina! I must have had too much of that champagne vintage. I had earlier congratulated Beverly on this piece rather than you. I'm so sorry! I thought I had recognized that starfish!

  7. I like the piece set on point. I don't know how you plan to display it, but the feeling of motion seems stronger when it is displayed that way.

  8. I love the dancing starfish! And I am in awe of your ability to create something like this while away from home. I'm having to enlarge every one of these to make sure I get a good look!
